The Debris Field is a part of space in between the moon and earth from the first battle of EU and ADSM. Many ships and mobile suits and even dead bodies rest in peace here just floating.

The Asteroid belt is just a huge belt that circles earth and the moon and is said to hold many secrets. It was manly formed by junk and metals.
